Service Description
I provide three state funded services: 1. Functional Behavior Assessment - this is a process of getting to know the individual client, their environment and social supports, as well as the specific behaviors of concern. The goal of this process is to identify a "function" for each challenging behavior. The results of this assessment determine what behaviors and strategies will be included in the Behavior Plan. 2. Behavior Plan - this is the development of a written plan that includes prevention strategies, skills to teach, and how to respond in the event target behaviors occur. If needed, the plan may also include a crisis intervention section. 3. Consultation - this is a longer-term services in which I can provide ongoing coaching and support to the families and caregivers implementing the Behavior Plan. Consultation services are provided via telehealth and include reviewing/analyzing behavioral data, caregiver training, team brainstorming, attending team meetings, and making updates to the plan or strategies.
